What should I bring to my emergency visit?
If you have already seen another provider for the current issue you are experiencing, please bring any drops or treatments prescribed to you for this current issue. All emergency visits go through medical insurance. Please bring a physical copy of your medical insurance card so we can have it on file.
Signs you may need an emergency appointment:
- Sudden floaters
- Sudden flashes of light
- Sudden blur or loss of vision in one eye, both eyes, or a section of one eye
- Swelling of eye or surrounding areas
- Bump on upper or lower eyelid
- Redness/blood spots
- Discharge or mucous
- Sudden intense eye pain
- Stuck contact lens
- Foreign body in eye (small shards of plastic, wood, metal, etc)
- Direct injury to the eye (hits, scratches, etc)
